FUN FACT SATURDAY!!!!

images.jpeg Fun facts or not so fun to know!  Did you know that 50% of all chemicals used in American agriculture today are used in cotton growing.  Hemp on the other hand needs no chemicals and has few weed or insect enemies.  The only true enemy of the hemp plant over the past years have been the U.S. government and the DEA. Luckily we are continuing to move forward to end this prohibition.  Seems strange that we need an end prohibition hashtag for a simple plant but here we are!  The last farm bill was a great move for us Cannabis lovers.  The 2018 farm bill is more expansive.  It allows hemp cultivation broadly, not simply pilot programs for studying market interest. However don’t get to excited you little Legal Hippies, it is still not allowing just anyone to grow those hemp plants.  Which reminds me, did you know we organically grow our hemp for Legal Hippie!  We use bugs to fight bugs and so much more.  We all need to be careful and mindful of where our hemp is grown for the tinctures we use. This organic way of growing is not the case for all hemp.  Industrial hemp can be allowed to use chemicals and pesticides.  Industrial hemp which can be used for fibers and textiles is a member of the cannabis family.  Pesticide regulations are narrow and confusing to many including myself at times.  I bring this up to say, there have been many CBD oils that have shown signs of pesticide or dangerous chemicals.   A popular line of CBD products were found to contain a dangerous synthetic cannabinoid known to cause anxiety, agitation, and psychosis.  Do your research on your products before you consume or even vape for that matter!  Without the government regulation CBD products could literally contain just about anything in those bottles. Some not even containing CBD at all!

Also, be on the lookout for hemp flowers.  We will have them available soon!  Thanks 2018 farm bill!
