As you might have guessed I am about to tell you CBD or Hemp oil is beneficial to hair growth. So here goes… CBD IS GREAT FOR HAIR GROWTH! If you are like me I am struggling with hair growth due to chemicals. I might have had a few to many color removers and bleaches over the last year or so. Ok… I, for sure, had to many! So I have been introducing CBD into my hair routine. I NEED my healthy hair back. CBD is helping! Not only this CBD has been shown to help with people suffering from alopecia also. Let me explain!
CBD is an excellent sourse of vitamin E. Vitamin E has an amazing softening effect for your hair. CBD is also a very good natural miosterizer. When applied to your hair and scalp it boost the health of your scalp and increases circulation which in return decreases hair loss. Since CBD oil also promotes a better blood flow to your scalp it helps in quicker expansion of the hair follicles. Hence… reduced hair loss!
CBD is also a great source of omega fatty acids. The three most prominent ones are the omega-3, omega-6 and the omega-9. The fatty acids found in Hemp oil or CBD have been shown to improve the quality of the tissue on the scalp. In return it increases hair growth!
Last but not least it helps in adding the necessary protiens back into your hair. It fortifides the strands by proliferating the protein within the hair.
This doesn’t just apply to women and that mermaid hair but it also applies to men who are wanting to thicken the hair on their heads or their faces. YES! IT DOES HELP WITH GROWING THAT PRIZED BEARD!
So if you are in the market for some stellar mermaid hair, manly head of hair, or even a super manly mans beard…..

CBD me and see you in the morning is exactly what I said. Huh…. once again another amazing benefit of CBD oils! Everyone needs sleep! If you are like me I can be a totally different person when lacking some sleep. It’s essential to your well-being. It’s science! Research has shown that after people sleep, they tend to retain information and perform better on memory tasks. Our bodies also require long periods of sleep in order to restore and rejuvenate, to grow muscle, repair tissue, and synthesize hormones. Sleep can be and is a matter of life and death when it comes down to it! Now how can taking CBD help you sleep? Lets dig a bit deeper….
CBD or Cannabinoids has been shown to help insomnia and sleep disorders. Believe it or not there are an estimated 70 million people who suffer from sleep disorders in the United States. If you know anyone, you know someone if not yourself that struggles in the sleep department. CBD might just be the ticket to a good nights sleep. Now to slightly contradict myself for a little fun it is actually a myth that CBD oil is sedating. It is actually the opposite! If you take CBD in modest doses it is alerting just like drinking a cup of coffee! CBD triggers the same part of your brain that caffeine triggers. Now of course this sounds contradicting as I said but let me further explain. CBD has a very positive influence on the central nervous system, including relaxation and mood. CBD tends to calm anxiety which is many cases will help with the ability to sleep soundly! CBD also has the ability to regulate sleep cycles, helping to decrease activity in the brain and lead you to a restful, relaxed state of mind.
This is great news to the world of insomniacs! If you are ready to try something new to help in the very essential sleep department consider CBD oil. I personally use Legal Hippie CBD oil!

CBD for menapasue… I swear this stuff will forever amaze me. Did you know that England’s Queen Victoria herself used to eat hash candies to ease menstrual cramps? Marijuana has been around for FOREVER! Afterall it is literally a plant. A PLANT!!!
Back to menopause. It is so funny to me how us women gripe and groan over our periods for years. Literally years!!! I myself have been complaing for some 26 years now. Wow that is a long time! Let me just add to this and say that once I no longer have to deal with the ever dreaded period I will continue to gripe and groan over not having one. With this comes hot flashes, depression and anxiety, fatigue, and sleep problems which can last for months or even years pre- and post-menopause. Ummmmm no thanks! But if I am lucky enough to continue with life this is in my future. So can CBD be beneficial to menopause? Why Yes! Let’s dig a bit deeper.
As we may or may not know CBD has been shown to help with sleep and anxiety. But Menapause includes more than just this. It includes increased risk of breast cancer, bone loss, dry skin and hot flashes. Lucky for you the compounds in CBD actively interact with the sex hormone estrogen, which is a key culprit behind menopause symptoms! This takes us right back to the endocannabinoid system! As I have explained in previous installments on my Legal Hippie site. This system is responsible for placing the body into homeostasis. Homeostasis is very important to our bodies. It is the balancing system. For example, it is what is responosble for keeping your body around 98 degrees even if it is 100 outside. This is important! It is a checks and balance system that is necessairy to survival! Your body being in Homeostasis is the key to the endocannabinoid system to help regulate things like body temperature, immune function, mood, sleep, pain, appetite and energy metabolism, and finally the Reproductive cycles. Endocannabinoids are like the body’s own cannabis. Breastmilk even contains cannabinoids! Just a little tid bit of fun facts for you. Compounds in the cannabis plant (phytocannabinoids) directly interact and engage with the endocannabinoid system. When it comes to women’s reproductive health, endocannabinoids and estrogen are right there in the same race! When estrogen peaks, so do your levels of endocannabinoids. In fact, prior to menopause, women are most sensitive to psychoactive THC right before ovulation! So if you live where THC is legal… girls be careful when ovulating! HAHA This is when estrogen levels are at there highest. Estrogen directly engages endocannabinoids. In fact, the enzyme that breaks down certain endocannabinoids (enzyme FAAH) is regulated by estrogen. As estrogen levels begin to drop, endocannabinoid levels change. So the best thing you could do for your menopausal body is to help it balance itself right back out. I stand behind Legal Hippie CBD oil. Its a full spectrum oil grown here in KY!

You know sometimes it is absolutely insane if you know the history of our laws. The laws we follow today have a bit of a strange beginning at times. You see Nixon made Cannabis a Class I Drug. I would naturally assume that it had something to do with how dangerous this “plant” is. Well that is not it. Basically Nixon might have been slightly racist! Lets did a bit deeper.
If you agree with the laws that make Cannabis illegal you can thank President Nixon, the DEA & US Prison Industry for Classifying Cannabis as a Schedule I Drug. The year of 1970 Nixon placed cannabis as a Class 1 drug. This placement was only meant to be temporary while he begin to have it studied. Class 1 is a classification for the most dangerous controlled substance. THE MOST DANGEROUS! Not quite. Cannabis has not always been illegal. It has been around for centuries. It’s been used to treat many ailments and most commonly used as an anti-inflammatory. Chinese Emperor Fu Hsi once recommended marijuana as medicine. The Hebrews once wrote of it as a ‘holy anointing oil.’ The Egyptians used it as an anti-inflammatory agent; the Indians, an anesthetic. Of course after the effects of the cannabis plant was tested it was suggested in 1972 by the National Commission on Marijuana and Drug Abuse, that cannabis prohibition end, which would remove it from Schedule I. President Nixon knew what the evidence showed BUT he refused to remove it as a Class 1 controlled substance even though his very own appointed commission said otherwise. Cannabis is still today in the same classification as heroine and cocaine. Now if you are like me you are wondering why in the world if he knew that the evidence showed this plant to be beneficial why would he not release it for the public to utilize. Well the answer is…………… Nixon’s war on drugs targeted the hippies and the blacks. So today in 2018 we are still following a law that literally makes a plant a Class 1 controlled substance. There you go, now you know. While Marijuana is still today a class 1, CDB which comes from the Hemp plant is not. The reason being is it contains less than .3% THC.
